The iHeartRadio Canada app has just surpassed 1 million downloads less than a year after being made available. The app was launched in October 2016 and has been a consistent Top 10 app in the Apple and Google Play stores. It is the No. 1 Canadian-made music app.
Also, iHeartRadio Canada is bringing its concert series to cities across Canada this year. The iHeartRadio WestFest is set for Saturday, July 8 at Shaw Millennium Park in Calgary and will feature performances from Fifth Harmony, Hedley, Iggy Azalea, Massari, Midland, Noah Cyrus, Ruth B, Scott Helman and Virginia to Vegas. Additional shows will be held this year in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.
“iHeartRadio Canada is already having a banner year. In only seven months we have reached 1 million downloads, become the No. 1 Canadian-made music app, and held two sold-out concerts with some of the biggest names in music including The Weeknd, Chainsmokers, and more,” iHeartRadio Canada/Bell Media head of Radio Content Strategy Rob Farina remarked. “With iHeartRadio WestFest up next in July, there is still a lot to look forward to in 2017, and we can’t wait to bring fans even more content from their favorite artists, exclusive live performances and much more.”
Additionally, iHeartRadio Canada is launching a series of secret concert sessions where fans can win a chance to see their favorite artists up close and personal.
